Community Mending Circle with Socorro Society - Oct. 18
Join us after-hours at Wildcraft General for a cozy, hands-on evening of mending with Lauren from Socorro Society. Bring something from your mending pile, or use the patch fabric and basics we’ll have available. This is a self-guided circle—an opportunity to share ideas, trade inspiration, and make alongside others in community.

We’ll also have a special rack of discounted vintage pieces in need of a little extra love, perfect for practicing your stitches. And of course—grab a coffee, cup of tea, or pastry from our café to sip and snack while you mend.

Space is limited. Ticket purchase required.

What is visible mending or sashiko?
Visible mending is the art of repairing clothing in a way that celebrates the story of the garment rather than hiding the wear. Inspired by traditional Japanese sashiko stitching, these thoughtful repairs turn rips and frays into something beautiful and unique—honoring sustainability, creativity, and care.

/ˈwīldˌkraft/ (verb): To gather from the wild—sustainably, intentionally, and with deep respect for the land. (noun) A practice rooted in tradition, honoring nature’s abundance while preserving it for future generations.
